Jesus is not ashamed to call us his Brothers & Sisters to God, His Father and neither should we be ashamed of him.

I say this because quite often when someone becomes a Christian, their friends will make a joke out of it and some people have a tendency to feel ashamed, but you have no need to, but rather it is them that should feel ashamed, because every sin that they commit is like raising the hammer and knocking the nails into Jesus's hands and feet! - He died a very humiliating and painful death for me, you and all those who mock. If you remember, one of the things Jesus said when he was on the Cross was "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do", which is very true, just take a look around you, even the news on TV - that says it all!
